As a Former Ship’s Serviceman SH1(SW) Petty Officer Charles Smith (RET) aka “Smitty” is a distinguish, dynamic and influential 20-year Navy Veteran, who has seen action in IRAQI Freedom, Dessert Storm Freedom, Operation Desert Storm, and numerous Panama Suez Canal Drug Operations. He possesses a master’s degree in a “HARD KNOCK LIFE” hailing from Charleston, South Carolina now resides in Jacksonville, Florida where he serves in the community by mentoring the youth, feeding families and Toy’s 4 Tots!
Charles was an ALL-AMERICAN track star in the high jump, 2X High School State Championship. His life in Charleston, SC was far from an easy up bringing in a single-family home. Charles, started with humble beginnings by working as boy at the age of 9 with his grandfather to help his mom out while working 2 jobs. With no college scholarship offers in site; he decided as a young man after HS to join the military, which saved his life!
As an honorary member of the Smokin Aces of Jacksonville Cigar Group & Charleston SMOKE OUT he is the golf ambassador for both groups, he brings stylish fashion, golf etiquette, and regulates rules to the game. He helps give back to the community in these events to HBCU colleges for underprivilege kids.
Founder of Smitty’s Sip n Smoke LLC, he is a cigar enthusiast on FB to share & pair their favorite brands of cigars and drink of choice.
Charles wears many hats and hobbies that include interior design, architectural design, model, home chef, DYI projects, active golfer and league bowler. His first 300 game was 11/16/2011, Naval Station Mayport Bowling Center.
